28 Jan 2019About Cricket World Cup Tips
Cricket World Cup tips will be available on Betting Maestro in the build up and during the 2019 Cricket World Cup, to be held in England and Wales, between May 30 and July 14.
There will be 10 teams taking part: hosts England, Australia, India, Pakistan, New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, the West Indies, Bangladesh and for the first time ever, Afghanistan.
For the first time ever, there will be a 10-team Round Robin format during the Group Stages where everyone plays everyone else across 45 matches with the Top 4 progressing to the semi-finals. The opening match pits England against South Africa.
Among the big stars on show will be: Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, Joe Root, Jos Buttler, Kane Williamson, Rashid Khan, Aaron Finch, Mitchell Starc, Faf du Plessis, Hashim Amla, Kasigo Rabada, Angelo Matthews, Thisara Perera, Mohammad Amir, Sarfraz Ahmed and Trent Boult.
Most of the Cricket World Cup tips suggest it could come down to a shoot-out between the two favourites- England and India – but current champions Australia are always dangerous, whereas Pakistan can be extremely unpredictable and have always performed well in English conditions, having won the 2009 T20 World Cup and the 2017 ICC Champions Trophy on English soil.
The Cricket World Cup has been held mostly every four years since 1975 with Australia the most successful side in its history with five wins. India have won it twice, as have the West Indies, though their two wins were in the two inaugural editions, back in 1975 and 1979. Sri Lanka and Pakistan have each won it once.
Sachin Tendulkar is the leading runscorer in the history of the World Cup with 2,278 runs scored across six editions of it. New Zealand batsman Martin Guptill holds the record for the highest individual score in a match with 237 not out against the West Indies in 2015.
The top World Cup wicket-taker is Glenn McGrath, who played in four World Cups and took 71 wickets.
On Betting Maestro you’ll find Cricket World Cup tips on World Cup winner, World Cup top runscorer, World Cup top bowler and which four teams will make the semi-finals. You can also read Cricket World Cup tips on individual matches throughout the tournament.
